Ultimate Visual Solutions Helps Meet Demand for COVID-19 Protection Screens

Video wall and visual display company Ultimate Visual Solutions (UVS) is supplying a North West council with Edbak Proscreens Covid-19 protection screens after diversifying part of its operation to meet demand.

UVS has been able to respond to requests for the screens after an existing manufacturing partner, Edbak, which usually supplies it with mounting brackets for LCD display monitors, amended production to make much-needed Perspex shields, known as Proscreens.

The initial supply to the council is for protection screens to help keep staff and customers safe when lockdown is eased.

But UVS, based at the Business First Burnley Business Centre, will now make the screens available to a wide variety of clients, including local authorities, food and restaurant chains, pharmacies and petrol stations.

UVS managing director Steve Murphy said: “This is not something we had anticipated doing but we discovered that one of our suppliers, Edbak had amended production of products for the audio visual market to help meet demand, and when it became obvious that people in this country were struggling to get hold of them it seemed only right that we should help.

“I must stress that this is not something we are doing to capitalise on the current situation and we have reduced our margin on the products accordingly to reflect that.”

The protection screens are available in a variety of sizes and can be  mounted to desks or freestanding. Click here to find out more.

UVS provides video wall displays and audio visual solutions to a range of clients across the UK and the rest of the world.

It is led by four senior colleagues who, between them, have more than 70 years’ combined Audio Visual, Control Room and Visual Solutions experience.
